The front panel is divided into three parts and shows two emblems with commonly used clothier tools as well as the three swans still decorating the city emblem today. In the middle we can see the goddess of luck, Fortuna. Inside of the chest lid the visitor may have a look at a very special painting: colorful scenes illustrating the clothiers’ craftwork at these times. In Zwickau clothmaking was especially flourishing during the 15th and 16th century.
